Boston Marathon Bombing Suspects Identified (UPDATED)
UPDATE: The Atlantic has a great piece about what now looks like a misinformation campaign to get Sunil Tripathi's name as a suspect in the bombing. "M-U-L-U-G-E-T-A" was mentioned in the radio transcript, but Sunil's name first popped up on Twitter from a user named @ghughesca (Greg Hughes) who claims he got it from Reddit. His account has now been deleted on Twitter. There is no radio transcript mentioning Sunil's name that is available as of now.
I have kept most of this post in tact (with deletion marks) as a record of how things transpired that night.

UPDATE: Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect #2 Captured
UPDATE: The AP has now reported that the surviving bombing suspect is Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev from Russia. The other suspect is his brother. The report below is from earlier accounts from the Boston Police, Fire and EMS scanner radio.
Boston police have identified Sunil Tripathi and Mike Mulugeta as the suspects in the Boston Marathon Bombing.
Mike Mulugeta has been killed and Sunil Tripathi is currently being hunted by police.
UPDATE: Boston Marathon suspect killed, second sought after Watertown explosions, gunfire
One suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings was killed early Friday morning, while the second suspect was being sought following an attack on police officers in Watertown that involved explosives and gunfire.The man known as suspect 2, the man wearing the white hat, is the suspect being sought, sources told NewsCenter 5's Kathy Curran. Sources called the situation "fluid and dangerous."
State police spokesman David Procopio said, "The incident in Watertown did involve what we believe to be explosive devices possibly, potentially, being used against the police officers."

Sunil was an Ivy League student who mysteriously disappeared last month. He is believed to be the suspect in the "white hat".
