Summer Reflection

There was a full moon out, and I was eager to take more night photography by the lake. At first I thought this was a lost picture since it was too dark on my monitor. With a bit of tweaking however, I was able to bring out details that I was actually able to take. It's a bit grainy but I'm very happy to capture reflections from the lake. After this picture, I went over to the telescope where everyone was gathering and saw the moon up close for the first time with the naked eye.

Freelance work was very slow over the Summer. Although I still don't know what that truly means. Perhaps I should feel lucky to have found work. Or perhaps I should have saved more. The phone calls have started to come back as the seasons begin to change. I should be thankful that I have hung around to answer them. This is a view of the Queensboro Bridge I would probably see once in my lifetime with my own eyes, unless of course this customer comes calling again.
Tiger's dreaded Puli dogs! This summer, I took to the streets, and challenged the Boricuas on the block to some ping pong games. I beat everyone staying on the weathered table for hours until Tiger came along. I could never beat Tiger. I only beat him once, and he probably beat me 50 times.
The Pulies painfully looked warm in the Summer heat, but Tiger assured me that they can take the heat and cold. If you were not an observant person, you would think that Tiger was standing beside a pile of rugs.
Aside from ping pong, Tiger and I also shared another interest: video. Unfortunately, it seems this Summer was not my time to be Kurosawa.
I should take more pictures. I bring my Nikon D70 with me every time I walk out of the apartment. I guess I forget that I do have a camera with me. On days I remember to take however, it's been a struggle, and scary. After I took this picture of 101 Park Avenue, a guard came rushing at me from this very entrance.

Someone in Chinatown knows how to spell my name.

I love garlic chives! In some extra virgin olive oil (to taste), saute a clove of garlic sliced, a small bunch of garlic chives chopped (about 1-inch lengths), 5-8 pieces grape tomatoes, a pinch of red pepper flakes (always the secret ingredient) and 10 basil leaves chopped, until the tomatoes are about to burst. Mix in cooked spaghetti. Salt and pepper to taste. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum.
The past 48-hours or so have been tremendously stressful. Let's see, Jordis is gone, Ryan is under fire, I wasted $55 on Rainbow Six: Lockdown (do not buy this game! or, buy mine, hehe). As well as numerous sub-conscious and sub-aura ghosts that have now chosen to manifest. Can you be so stressed that you can't sleep, even if you are really tired? As usual, my plan is to just break down in front of my therapist tomorrow (ummm later), but that never happens.
9,500 visitors descended on rickey.org yesterday. I expect about the same today, mostly those looking for Rock Star: INXS results, Marty Casey, Lauren Sanchez's plastic surgery, Blake McGrath and a sprinkling other dancers. There will be no talent-reality-shows for the Fall so I will be covering new things for a few months before American Idol comes roaring back again.
