Study unveils US Map of Hate Speech on Twitter - Photo

A recent study has measured the "Geography of Hate" on Twitter, resulting in an interactive map of the US that displays the areas with the highest volume of intolerance about subjects including Homosexuality, Race and Disabilities.

The study, begun in June 2012, is the work of Dr. Monica Stevens of California's Humboldt State University. Dr. Stevens has been mapping more than 150,000 geotagged tweets to create the interactive US map, which you can access here.
