Studios - Smurfs and Cowboys & Aliens TIED for Weekend Box Office

Actual numbers will come in on Monday, but as of now, the studios are claiming equal numbers for the weekend. The Smurfs and Cowboys & Aliens are "tied" with $36.2 million each in the weekend box office.

Pretty impressive for The Smurfs! It can still pull the outright upset on Monday, but this is just amazing news since Cowboys & Aliens was expected to be on top this week.

Captain America was third, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 was fourth and in fifth was the highly-acclaimed Crazy Stupid Love.
