This year's American Horror Story was able to wrangle some serious talents, including Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett and Gabourey Sidibe and now it's adding Stevie Nicks to those ranks.

Creator Ryan Murphy teased the news on his Twitter account, writing:

And then the fanbase lost its collective ish.

Stevie Nicks plays an integral role in the life of witch and super-fan Misty Day (played by the fabulous Lily Rabe) who has the power to bring the dead back to life. As Murphy explained it, "She is obsessed with Stevie Nicks because I am obsessed with Stevie Nicks."

However Nicks almost didn't make it on the show at all. In fact, the Fleetwood Mac songstress was initially hesitant to even allow her music to be used.

According to Murphy, "She was very resistant because from the beginning of her career people who are in the Wiccan community had given her a hard time thinking she was a witch and she got a lot of scary fan letters. She didn’t like the darkness of that."

We're glad she changed her mind!
