Stevi Ritchie sings 'Mambo No. 5' / 'She Bangs' on The X Factor UK 2014 (VIDEO)

Stevi Ritchie sang 'Mambo No. 5' / 'She Bangs' on The X Factor UK Live Show 6 on November 15, 2014.

Once again, Stevi was an absolute blast. Although I do find his constant placement at or near the end of the night's lineup suggests the producers want him around as long as possible. Not that I mind, since I adore Stevi and want him to stick around, but I imagine he's one of the more divisive contestants in the competition. You either love Stevi or you hate that he's still here, with very little room for middle ground. This was not a good performance by the standard of a Top 8 finalist, but...well, I really don't know how to explain it. There's just something about Stevi that makes me forgive how utterly ridiculous he is. I know I should hate this, but I just don't.

Part of it is Stevi's goofy charisma, which makes it hard not to get taken in by whatever he's doing, even as it gets progressively absurd. But even without all of that, his vocals actually aren't that bad. I was particularly impressed that he was mostly able to maintain his voice while gyrating around onstage, since other acts in the competition don't have nearly the amount of breath control. Again, I probably should have hated this, but I can't bring myself to dislike Stevi. I just can't.

But what do you think of Stevi Ritchie?
