Stephen Colbert Dressed Up as 'The Hobbit' Cast + It is Glorious - PHOTOS
Living out his childhood dreams, Tolkien super fanboy Stephen Colbert wished The Hobbit trilogy a fond farewell with some help from Entertainment Weekly.
Specifically by dressing up as the characters for his favorite photoshoot ever.
It should also be noted that it is our favorite photoshoot ever as well.

In addition to the amazing covers and candids shared by EW, Colbert also penned a goodbye to the films, writing:Tolkien’s work has been a lifelong haven for me — truly a light in dark places when all other lights went out. For an awkward teenager, Middle-earth was a world I could escape to. Peter Jackson’s Middle-earth also gave me a world to escape to, but by the time his films came out, I was rich and famous and didn’t really want to escape my life anymore. Still, great movies.Peter Jackson's second sojourn to Middle-earth ends when The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies hits theatres on Dec. 17.
