Stephen Colbert ends 'The Colbert Report' With Star-Studded Sing-Along (VIDEO)
Stephen Colbert ended The Colbert Report last night after nine years, and although many feared that an appearance by the Grim Reaper would mean the death of Colbert's satirical, conservative version of himself, it instead resulted in his immortality (just roll with it). So all that was left was to wrap up the show in style, with a star-studded celebrity sing-along.
Colbert sang Vera Lynn's "We'll Meet Again" alongside The Daily Show host Jon Stewart, Oscar winner Randy Newman, Emmy winner Bryan Cranston, Willie Nelson, Tom Brokaw, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Mandy Patinkin, Cyndi Lauper, The Newsroom's Jeff Daniels and Sam Waterston, Keith Olbermann, Big Bird from Sesame Street, the Cars' Ric Ocasek, Katie Couric, Michael Stipe, James Franco and Cookie Monster, Rolling Stone writer Matt Taibbi, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Barry Manilow, Patrick Stewart, George Lucas, Bob Costas, New Jersey Senator Corey Booker, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, Pussy Riot, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, President Bill Clinton, Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams and even more.
