Stanislas Wawrinka upsets Rafael Nadal to win Australian Open 2014

Stanislas Wawrinka defeated an injured Rafael Nadal in four sets at the 2014 Australian Open.

The score was 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

Wawrkinka defeated No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic in the Quarterfinal and No. 2 seed Nadal in Final.

In the Final, Nadal appeared to throw out his back in set two and had to get a medical timeout. He won set three, but Wawrinka took the fourth to win his first Grand Slam in his first appearance in the final.
