'Sons of Anarchy' Casts Marilyn Manson for Final Season

Sons of Anarchy is heading into its final season, and it's bringing in one of rock music's most controversial personalities.

Marilyn Manson has joined the FX series in a recurring role as Ron Tully, a "white supremacist prison shot-caller whom Jax (Charlie Hunnam) uses to expand his power base." While Manson is a big fan of the show, he explained that his father was a huge influence on his decision to join the biker drama, which is among cable TV's more popular cult hits.

"Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father's," said Manson in a statement. "So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle."

This won't be Manson's first acting gig on TV this year, as he briefly played The Shadow on ABC's Once Upon a Time, in addition to appearances on HBO's Eastbound & Down and Showtime's Californication. He even worked on the opening credits for WGN America's surprise hit, Salem.

The final season of Sons of Anarchy premieres this September on FX.
