Suggestions for Songs From The Year You Were Born

It's 80's week on American Idol! Here are some suggestions I have for the group. What do you guys think?

Danny Gokey -- April 24, 1980

This Is It - Kenny Loggins
Stand By Me - Mickey Gilley

I think Danny would growl really well in the chorus of 'This Is It'. Go Danny Go Key!

Adam Lambert -- January 29, 1982

Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Centerfold - J. Geils Band

Adam can sing anything really. Go Glambert!

Lil Rounds - November 14, 1984

Let's Hear It For The Boy - Deniece Williams
What's Love Got To Do With It - Tina Turner

Lil could change things up a bit with 'Let's Hear It For The Boy' -- it's fun, and should take away the seriousness from the past couple of weeks. Go Lil Kim! Go Lil Rounds! Go Lil Rickey!

Matt Giraud - May 11, 1985

Everybody Wants To Rule The World - Tears For Fears
Take On Me - A-Ha

I sense that Matt might go for something ambitious like 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World'. Omigosh, Matt was born when 'Take On Me' came out? -- I feel so old. Mattfans.com

Kris Allen - June 21, 1985

Heaven - Bryan Adams
Careless Whisper - Wham!
Crazy For You - Madonna
The Power Of Love - Huey Lewis and The News

I like these choices for Kris, but 'Crazy for You' would really be sweet. I'm crazy for you, touch me once and you'll know it's true. Go Sexy Face!

Scott MacIntyre - June 22, 1985

The Search is Over - Survivor

There are many power ballads Scott can choose from but 'The Search is Over' is perfection. Embrace the Braille!

Anoop Desai - December 20, 1986

Broken Wings - Mr. Mister
Kiss - Prince and The Revolution

'Kiss' has some potential to be big, but 'Broken Wings' is a safe song that Anoop should excel in. Go Noop Dogg!

Allison Iraheta - April 27, 1992

Free Your Mind - En Vogue

OMG, I hope they advised her to do this -- she's so going to win with this one. This could be an amazing 'Summertime' performance and bring her back into contention.
