Some Local Talent - Paige Williams (Georgia State Idol)
Paige Williams is an 18 year old who is apart of a military family. She was born in Texas but has traveled "everywhere throughout the world" with her family. She eventually settled in Gwinnett County Georgia and is a recent graduate of Mill Creek Highschool and is currently at Georgia State University. She has basically been singing since she got out of the womb and has been developing ever since. She is inspired by John Mayor, and her goal in life is to eventually win a Grammy!

I have attended Georgia State Idol ever since I first transfered to the school three years ago now. Each year provided something a little different, and I always left feeling entertained leaving the venue. However, it wasn't until that Tuesday night on August 31st, 2010 that I left feeling just plain inspired. That inspiration steamed from 18 year old Williams. In my past three years here attending the show, never have I seen the crowd react to anyone in such a way they did to Williams. The minute that she strummed her guitar and opened her mouth everyone was both captivated and allured by her pure voice and unique take on the song she was singing---it took everyone by surprise, and at the very moment it was hook, line, and sinker. The competition was over just like that.
Paige possess an ability that you can't really learn...you just, have it. And have it she does. She knows how to take a song, make it her own, and then be captivating with it and speak to the masses. Not to mention, she has a killer voice to boot; and while I don't think these following videos do her justice (ultimately because of their quality), hopefully you can get a taste of that potential that is inside this young woman; just see how the crowd reacted to the end of her second song:

(I was pretty upset I didn't think to record until the last minute, actually. Haha)
Here she is performing some covers:

She has auditioned for American Idol twice, but so far, has not made it through! Hopefully she will continue to going for it, because this is some raw talent that needs to be unleashed to the masses!
Join her Facebook Fan Group here! She would truly appreciate each and every one of you.
