Recap
All six remaining groups perform and then compete in a 6-team ultimate sing-off (three ultimate sing-offs). It's a double elimination night.
Jewel is the mentor for the groups tonight.
Performances:
1. Home Free - Pretty Woman
- Another awesome vocal from the guys and that dude with the low voice!
2. Vocal Rush - Against All Odds
- I'm nos sure about this. Not their best in my opinion. But I like these kids.
3. AcoUstiKats - Old Time Rock & Roll
- Bonus points for underwear. But that's about that for me.
4. The Filharmonic - I Don't Want to Miss a Thing
- Pinoy power balladeers forever!
5. VoicePlay - Don't You (Forget About Me)
- Jewel made Honey cry! This was all about Honey being emotional, LOL -- and the lack of na-na-nas.
6. Ten - Skyfall
- Let the sky fall! Let the sky fall!
Ultimate Sing-Off
AcoUstiKats vs. VoicePlay
Song: "Eye of the Tiger"
AcoUstiKats using their comedy and the VoicePlay guys playing off of it! Hahaha!
I love that the two groups actually COMBINED in the end. Awesome.
Ben Folds: You guys worked together so well. You all had a moment.
Shawn Stockman: That was a lot of fun.
Jewel: It was really silly.
Vocal Rush vs. Ten
Song: "Fame"
Vocal Rush giving their all but I think the older singers were stronger vocally with ther solid male vocals.
However, the combined group was absolutely amazing.
Jewel: You guys did not disappoint. I'm such a fan.
Ben Folds: You held your own (Vocal Rush). There wasn't a bad lead vocal in the bunch.
Shawn Stockman: You guys reminded me of my high school days.
Home Free vs The Filharmonic
Song: "I'm All Right" by Kenny Loggins from Caddyshack
Home Free was just solid vocally, wow. The Filharmonic trying to keep up with their cute moves. They're so tiny compared to Home Free! LOL
And then... beatbox battle!!! And slow mo dancing! Awesome.
The best Ultimate Sing Off of the season!
Shawn Stockman: How much fun was that? Good gopher!
Jewel: I have not stop giggling. It was really cute. I loved how you swapped personalities.
Ben Folds: It was like a video game. Forget sing-off that was America's beatbox-off!
