'The Simpsons' To Kill Off A Character This Season

Fourteen years after the death of Maude Flanders, the creative minds behind The Simpsons are looking to kill off another long-running character.
Sun News reports that Executive producer Al Jean revealed in a recent interview that a character will be killed off this season, the show's 25th.
"I'll give you a clue that the actor playing the character won an Emmy for playing that character, but I won't say who it is," Jean hinted.
Of course, this isn't much of a hint, given that just about every major Simpsons actor has been awarded an Emmy for their performances over the past 25 years.
For reference, here are the performances that have won Emmys for The Simpsons:
Nancy Cartwright as Bart Simpson
Dan Castellaneta as Homer Simpson
Julie Kavner as Marge Simpson
Jackie Mason as Rabbi Hyman Krustofski
Yeardley Smith as Lisa Simpson
Marcia Wallace as Edna Krabappel
Hank Azaria as Apu Nahasapeemapetilon
Hank Azaria as Various Characters (in the episodes "Worst Episode Ever in 2001, and "Moe Baby Blues" in 2003)
Dan Castellaneta as Various Characters (in the episode "Today I am A Clown" in 2004)
Kelsey Grammer as Sideshow Bob
Anne Hathaway as Princess Penelope (in the episode "Once Upon a Time in Springfield" in 2010)
So yeah, not the biggest help in the world, but hey, there's still enough evidence for speculation! So who do you think the unfortunate victim will be? Sound off in the comments!
