So 'The Simpsons' Basically Predicted This Year's Super Bowl in 2005
In an instance of life imitating art, it appears The Simpsons gave us a window into the future way the hell back in 2005.
In Season 17's “Bonfire of the Manatees,” which first aired in 2005, Homer watches a Super Bowl match-up between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks. Not only did The Simpsons predict the two teams heading into this Sunday's Big Game, the show also predicted it would be close, giving the Broncos the win with a score of 19-14. The connection was revealed when The Simpsons Official Twitter sent out this tweet:
#thesimpsons predicted it! @SuperBowl forecast in the "Bonfire of the Manatees" (S17) episode from 2005. #SB48 pic.twitter.com/cEPfaQlRrM

Yeah, not that we're condoning gambling or anything, but if that ends up being the final score, I think I'll be trusting my Sunday night animated favorites with all my future sports prognosticating. So...go Broncos?
