Simon Cowell isn't done organizing shock twists.

Cowell has revealed that he wants The X Factor USA to have a wildcard twist.

On his Twitter page, the acerbic British judge suggested that, after Paulina Rubio's controversial decisions last night, it might be time to bring back a contestant.

"You never let great talent go," Cowell tweeted, adding: "Paulina's top 4 would not have been my top 4."

He then went on to ask his followers if they would like to see a wildcard twist, saying, "If we did this. You guys not us would make the decision. Will keep you posted. I would love it to happen."

He added: "I will do my best to make it happen. And you will choose the person or group you want as your wild card pick... Reading your comments tonight made me realize we should do this. It seems like the fairest thing to do."

Cowell later suggested he had arranged a twist, implying that it "all gets sorted" on tonight's episode.

"I think you will enjoy the show," he said. "Thanks for all your comments. Both the bad and the good."

However, tonight's Four Chair Challenge conclusion made no reference to a wildcard twist. With that said, we have a two-week break until live shows, so it's very possible a twist could be revealed in that time.

Which act would you like to see return? Sound off in the comments!
