Simon Cowell Suggests a Singing Champ Battle; Nigel Lythgoe Responds

Last night, Simon Cowell took to Twitter to make a very interesting proposal for the titan singing competition shows. With drama between The Voice, The X-Factor, and American Idol coming to a boil, he's suggesting pinning the winners of these shows against each other in an ultimate battle.

He tweeted:

Maybe the winner of @TheXFactorUSA this yr should compete with winner of The Voice & Idol in a super final. Just a thought. I'd be up for it

OK, Simon, what are you thinking? Personally, this is a horrible idea. I'm not against the back and forth banter, but this is too much. Of cource, Nigel Lythgoe replied to him soon after. Nigel isn't too keen on the idea, tweeting:

@simoncowell suggests the IDOL winner should take on the voice and x-factor winners. The problem is the Idol winner will be a star by then.

OH. SNAP. What do you guys think? Do you think a super final is a great or awful idea?
