Simon Cowell Admits He's 'Not Proud' of His Affair With Lauren Silverman

Reality show creator Simon Cowell recently welcomed his first child into the world, and he wouldn't say he's not necessarily proud of having a baby with Lauren Silverman, a woman who happened to be married to his friend.

In a recent interview with the Mirror (via Us Weekly), Cowell admitted that he does not "regret" the affair.

Although he did go on to say, "It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone. It just happened. You have to deal with it and man up to it."

"You have to accept the responsibility and the criticism. All I can say is, my advice to you is if it happens to you, you just have to deal with it a day at a time and own up to your responsibilities."

He went on to explain that having a baby has definitely grounded him and that at least professionally he says he's "got [his] mojo back again."

"Maybe because it puts things in perspective having two people in my life who I am responsible for ... It is a weird existence when you live on your own. On the phone all night, blah blah blah. Now the house is full of people. It has become a home rather than a house."
