Simon Cowell addresses The X Factor firings - Video

The X Factor judge Simon Cowell talked to Extra yesterday. He shot down rumors about the show chasing after Beyonce and Mariah Carey as judges. He also admits that it's his fault that The X Factor was perceived as a flop because he opened his mouth about the "20 million viewers".

The X Factor was the #2 series for teens, the #1 show for African Americans, the first #1 Thursday show for FOX and a Top 5 show for minorities on TV -- but people don't want to talk about that for some reason.

Simon's ego is a big as ever. Earth to Simon: you're not on the #1 reality singing show in America.
