Shocking Changes on So You Think You Can Dance

Nigel Lythgoe has been tweeting over the past couple of days the "Shocking Changes" he had announced previously for So You Think You Can Dance.

Among the changes are:

1. Rotating (?) judges
2. Single eliminations (instead of one boy and one girl)
3. Partners will change every week
4. There will be no Top 20
5. The competitors will no longer choose their genres of dance

Nigel said he will explain everything before the press conference on Monday.

As I wrote before, the only change they need to do on the show is that bad set they built for the finale of Season 5 and used for the entire Season 6 in the Fall. It changed the whole look of the show and really affected my personal viewing enjoyment.

I don't think any of these changes will do anything significant if the "look" of the show was like Season 6 with that god-awful set.

Regarding the non-Top 20 -- speculation is that it just might be a Top 10 -- like American Idol.
