Shia LaBeouf Blames Broadway Arrest on Irish Whiskey (VIDEO)
Shia LaBeouf is currently on a media tour for his World War II drama, Fury, and that means doing damage control over his arrest at a performance of Cabaret at Studio 54 on Broadway over the summer, and his subsequent stint in rehab for alcohol abuse.
Shia appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to explain himself, and his rationale is more or less what you'd expect: it was Irish whiskey's fault. The actor admitted to taking a liking to Irish whiskey while on the set of Fury in Europe, regularly drinking the stuff while watching the World Cup. Fast-forward to the Cabaret incident, as Shia explains he was there as a guest of one of the show's dancers. While ordering two more doubles of whiskey, he felt compelled to flirt with some older women -- only to have his advances rebuffed completely. One thing led to another, and Shia found himself in handcuffs. But that's not all Shia had to say, as he also addresses the story of how he chased a homeless man through Times Square. It's an interesting interview, to say the least. You can watch the whole thing below:
