'Shameless' Cast Adds 'Southland', 'Newsroom' Actors
Nick Gehlfuss
The cast for Season 4 of Showtime's Shameless continues to expand.
The Newsroom vet Nick Gehlfuss and Southland alum Emily Bergl have been cast in recurring roles for Season 4.
Gehlfuss will play Robbie, the handsome, artistic, and volatile older brother of Mike Pratt (Jake McDorman). Robbie is more than a little bitter about his family, particularly as it concerns Mike and his burgeoning relationship with Fiona (Emmy Rossum).
Emily Bergl
Meanwhile, Bergl will play Sammy, who is described as "the spitting image of Frank (William H. Macy), except more downtrodden and attracted to the wrong men -- including Frank." She is twice married and divorced, and has a 6-year-old child. However, she refuses to allow her hardships to break her. Sounds interesting.
Shameless returns Jan. 12, 2014, on Showtime.
