Seth Rogen and Jimmy Kimmel Parody 'True Detective' - Video

True Detective fever hasn't subsided even after Sunday night's finale. Case in point, this parody from Jimmy Kimmel Live, which offered a "preview" of the second season of the HBO drama as part of Kimmel's week-long stay in Austin for SXSW.

The parody features Kimmel in the Marty Hart role, with Seth Rogen in the Rust Cohle part, and it's much funnier than I expected, given just how many True Detective parodies have been making the rounds of late. Having Rogen's psychobabble basically amount to quotations of 80s pop songs is great, as is the whole mystery of who desecrated Daniel Johnston's iconic Austin frog mural. And hey, blink and you might miss Michael Potts, who reprises his role as Detective Gilbough from True Detective for the parody. It's pretty amusing stuff, and you can watch the whole thing below:
