Seth Rogen: Funny Yet Heartfelt Alzheimer's Testimony to Senate - VIDEO
Seth Rogen sat before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health, and Human Services yesterday (Feb. 26) to speak about Alzheimer's Disease, which his mother-in-law suffers from.
Yes it was funny, but it was also incredibly moving too.
"I'm aware this has nothing to do with the legalization of marijuana," Rogen joked, saying he was there for something even more important.
At which point he told a devastating story about his mother-in-law's suffering and how there is no way to prevent, cure or slow the disease.
Rogen went on to add, "I came here today for a few reasons. One, I'm a huge House of Cards fan. Just marathoned the whole thing. Had to be here. Two is to say people need more help."
He also mentioned his charity Hilarity for Charity, joking, "That's right, the situation is so dire that it caused me, a lazy, self-involved, generally self-medicated manchild to start a entire charity organization."
Rogen later went on to publicly shame missing senators (only two out of 18 in the committee stayed to hear his testimony), writing on Twitter:

Alzheimer's Disease is currently the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, having increased almost 70% in the last 15 years and is also the most expensive disease.
