Selena Gomez respons to Lorde criticism - Video

Remember a while back when Lorde dissed Selena Gomez's "Come & Get It," and then sort of retracted? Queen Sel has responded:

It all began when the "Royals" singer said: "I love pop music on a sonic level. But I’m a feminist and the theme of her song [Come & Get It] is, ‘When you’re ready come and get it from me.’ I’m sick of women being portrayed this way." She later clarified her comments, saying she liked the song musically, but can't stand behind the lyrics.

Selena said, "I appreciate everyone's opinons, especially since I've covered her music lots of times. I think she's super talented and that's awesome. But the same time, feminism and that specific thing is very sensitive because in my opinion it's not feminism if you are tearing down other artists. But she's young and she's got so much talented and she's going to take over. She gets it. I don't take it to heart. Trust me I thought I knew what I would be doing at 21 and I'm not."

Bloop. Selena kept it classy! Love Lorde, but don't come at my boo, Sel!
