Scotty McCreery's second week outsells Lauren Alaina debut
American Idol winner Scotty McCreery's 'Clear As Day' sales fell 55% from last week with 88,000 units sold, but that was enough to outsell Lauren Alaina's 'Wildflower' debut of 69,000 units.
I wouldn't be surprised if American Idol focuses on Country Music again for the upcoming season. Looks like that is the secret sauce in getting viewers and music sales.
Lauren still has reason to be happy: she outsold Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox's debuts. She even outsold David Cook's sophomore album opening week sales - and she may very well outsell that album's total sales (89,000) next week.
