Scott Foley is now a regular guy. A series regular, anyway.
Foley's Jake Ballard will remain on ABC's Scandal for season three, as the series has officially promoted the actor from recurring to series regular status.
“I’m thrilled to join such a talented, enthusiastic and professional group of people,” said Foley, in a statement. “Shonda [Rhimes] and company have created a troupe of layered complex characters and to be able to be part of that is both exciting and humbling.”
Foley joined the popular ABC soap towards the end of season two on a recurring basis. At the time, the actor told TVLine that “Shonda and I have talked about something longer. I love this show, and I’d love to be there as long as they’ll have me.”
