Scarlett Johansson gives birth to Baby Girl Rose

Scarlett Johansson has given birth to a baby girl named Rose. This is the first child for the 29-year-old actress and her fiancé Romaine Dauriac, a French journalist.

Johansson's spokesperson confirmed the news on Thursday to the AP, adding "mother and daughter are doing well."

The couple are said to be "seeking privacy" and support No Kids Policy -- the effort to keep children of celebrities out of the public eye.

Scarlett has been engaged to Dauriac since September 2013. She was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds.

Scarlett Johansson's latest movie was Lucy which was released last July 2014. It made $44 million on its first week at the US box office.
