Sara Bareilles not returning to 'The Sing-Off'

Sara Bareilles will not return to The Sing-Off when it comes back later this year.

She joined the show as a judge in 2011 replacing Nicole Scherzinger.

NBC announced that The Sing-Off is returning (after a one year break) for Season 4 but no dates yet on the premiere.

I'm happy sad right now. The Sing-Off is one of my favorite reality singing shows and we supported it from the very beginning. I still remember how some of the "reality bloggers" ignored it when it aired. Oh and we also followed the predecessor of The Sing-Off: Clash of the Choirs.

Sara Bareilles quits The Sing-Off

Singer/songwriter SARA BAREILLES has quit a cappella competition show THE SING-OFF to concentrate on her pop career.

The Grammy-nominated star joined the talent contest in 2011 as original Sing-Off judge Nicole Scherzinger's replacement when she was hired as a judge on the first season of The X Factor.
The show, which is hosted by Nick Lachey, will return this winter (13) for a fourth season.
It is not clear if Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman will return as judges. (KL/EW/KL)
