Torch report from DebDeb & greensourgrapes at dazeoffire:

I was so excited for this day, I could hardly sleep last night. Today seemed to just drag until it was time to go to the concert. My friend and neighbor graciously offered to drive, and I was glad she did, because I don’t know how well I would have been concentrating on the road.

Finally we got parked and went into the Xcel Energy Center. I thought, “These lines are huge! It’s going to take forever for us to get in!” But it went surprisingly fast. My neighbor, Lisa, had my back. I had told her one of the things I was supposed to do as the torch carrier was take pictures of any ponyhawks I saw, and she spotted one in line in front of us. So I talked to the teenage girl who was sporting the hawk, and she said she was there to see Sanjaya, and I asked her if she’d ever posted on the Dazeoffire web site, and she said she had visited there but not posted.
