Just made it back to our hotel and boy are we tired. We've been at the venue since 3:30, just in case maybe we could get in the M&G, but to no avail. So we sit and wait til doors open at 6pm. Bought a poster and program of the show cause I like my souvenirs, lol Anyways, we had slightly better seats at this show actually. Guess both venues are pretty different and were closer here so the videos are way better quality for this show. My dad did take pics but we later figured his zoom on his new camera sucks !!! If I would have known I would have taken pics since I still took videos yesterday. Well anyways, Sanjaya was so cheery, happy, and hyper tonight. Saw a lot of orange tonight !! A lot of fanjayas sat near us too, it was great. Show went by great as always, but during his solo song, it seemed his pants started kinda falling so he had to pull it up once or twice lol Finally got to see "the jump". He loves to dance and everyone grooved with him. Texas sure loves Sanjaya !! It's Haley's hometown so she got a lot of cheers too. He was a lot funnier tonight in the "Criljaya" sketch. Got that lovely on video, thank goodness. Right at the end he started crazy dancing with the backup singers which was adoreable, I'll post that short clip tomorrow. Will post more about the show tomorrow on meeting the idols, fellow fanjayas and what the parents thought of the show, but now we're off to bed since we're having hotel issues and will need to check out early and go to another near the Riverwalk. I did find out that the Idols will be spending tonight and tomorrow night here, so keeping my fingers crossed we'll run into them somewhere here, maybe at the Riverwalk or unless Haley shows them around the city.
Bonus Report from Merlot:
Well its midnight and I thought I should at least start my report for you. Where do I begin? I will leave my highlight of the evening until the end. Well, San Antonio (so proud of my SA) embraced all of the idols; it was a great night for all them. The AT &T Center was pretty filled up. I noticed some empty seats here and there. But pretty much it did not matter because San Antonio was pretty loud! The crowd there was pretty diverse. I saw many families, young kids and even older couples. I thought I was going to be in a sea of kids, was I mistaken. I saw quite a few orange shirts. I did not see any with Sanjaya . But don’t despair, San Antonio loved Sanjy. They responded to him. Especially with his solo “The way you make me feel ” The crowd went Malakar Crazy when they saw him moonwalk. I wish he’d have more than one solo. His performance leaves you wanting more as he is a true entertainer. I must say he is learning pretty quickly. I loved all of Sanjaya’s performances. His performance with Doolittle was great. Lots of passion. It made the crowd wake up following Lakisha and Doolittle’s duet. I have to mention, Lakisha’s performance of “I will always Love You” It was extraordinary. I got goose bumps from it. I really enjoyed the concert and I am sure you will too. The only drawback was my seat, I could see the stage pretty good, but my camera was not cooperating. I am not sure yet if I can enhance the pics, as I will have my daughter look at them. She is also going to help load them to a site that I will pass on to you later. I don’t want to be too wordy, so I will proceed with my highlight of my evening: The concert had ended and my husband and I were just sitting there waiting for the crowd to pass when I spotted an orange flowered dress I look at the person and saw that she was carrying a poster. As I looked closer it had the letters “Dazoffire” and I wondered if she was the torch carrier for the site. I acted quickly and went down the stairs and I caught up with her and I asked her if she was the torch carrier and she said yes. I met crushie4 sanjaya!! We were standing there getting our picture taken when Momjaya walks toward us. I saw her and said “Momjaya?” she said “Yes” I couldn’t believe it. I was so excited. She is so nice, petite and very pretty, It was just amazing, she saw my shirt and she liked it. I told her that all of us at Rickey.Org love Sanjaya and wish the best for him. She told me to let Rickey know she said Hi and mentioned that she had met Rickey in Seattle. Soon after the crowd started moving us and Momjaya moved on. Needless to say I did not meet Sanjaya, as I did not have an “after” party pass. I am sure Crushie will have a lot to say about meeting Sanjaya, but I was just as happy to meet Sanjaya’s mom. I did take a picture with her and crushie. It’s after one in the morning and it’s time for me to hit the sack. I don’t know if I will be able to sleep after seeing my idol in concert!!
