Torch report from bathwater, beanieace & IloveSanjaya0318 at dazeoffire:
Highlights of the show The show was amazing! New Jersey rocks in terms of response and enthusiasm! The crowd response was good for everyone, Blake getting the most screams. However, Sanjaya along with Chris R and Jordin got great response too. In fact, people were always standing whenever he sang! And trust me judging from tonight's show, New Jersey likes to scream, but mostly sitting down. I am biased of course, so we asked a person sitting in our area about what he thought of the response Sanjaya got-he said it is really clear that he is crowd favorite. He said that he got 85% response-did not get chance to ask exactly what he meant, may be 85% with respect to Blake's 100 or 85% audience cheered for him. Either way-great! One guy came forward in the isle to take pictures only in Sanjaya's solo performance. Had a hi-fi camera and stand and stuff. He did not come again. May be a reporter who is going to use Sanjaya's photo for his tomorrow's report-which will feature the photo on top and say something not so nice throughout. Sanjaya's vocals were great. He totally worked the stage. People do not know about him winning TCA award-we educated them by text messaging that he won! Some people still did not know, so our poster informed few more people. He jumped off the stage at the end and took pictures with fans. We met him (well, that is not highlight of the show, that is highlight of my day )and took pictures. I planted myself firmly in his vicinity and he talked to me in between fans. It was a good opportunity to see how people react to him. One lady told him that he is reincarnation of Michael Jackson (poor MJ is not dead to be reincarnated-but she meant well ). We talked about Teen choice awards, his interest in marine science, his prior visit to India etc etc. Detail report coming up when I wake up. Some photos till then.
