Sanjaya Malakar - Portland, OR - The Wisdom Post

The big breaking news is that Shyamali is now Sanjaya's new guardian on the tour. She and Momjaya just exchanged last night so I did not meet Jill. Shyamali is staying on the boys bus -- woohoo!
It was great to see the concert, and as I said Blake had the most screams followed by Sanjaya, Melinda and Jordin. LaKisha also got good applause. I have to say that Blake's solo in the first half is worth the price of the ticket. It felt like when I was watching Chris Daughtry last season. And if you are a Fanjaya, it is also worth it. Sanjaya gets to do a little skit with Phil and Chris Sligh and gets to lead the audience in cheering by himself.
I also have to say a special thank you to Chris Sligh for hooking me up tonight with the tickets and the meet and greet. It was very generous of him and I hope that more people would check out his music. I know he has gotten himself in trouble with the Fanjayas in the past (and whoever else actually), but he was very nice to me and even sought me out in the meet and greet when he was about to leave.
Shyamali and Sanjaya looked happy to see me -- and I finally got a picture with Shyamali. Sanjaya signed my t-shirt, so maybe I'll give it out as a prize someday. As I said I had forgotten to ask all my questions and he was whisked away by security to see his relatives so maybe next time for that. One of his relatives said "bye" to me and giggled as I was leaving. My companion said that she may have been sarcastic, but I didn't notice -- I was surprised so I just said "bye" back. If it were true, why do they insist on treating me this way?
My companion also hated Blake Lewis's attitude during the meet and greet! She thought he was a bit aloof. Of course, I'm always oblivious to these things. I was just happy to see him and talk a little. Blake said that he visted the blog during the season for self-criticism of his performances and has not visted since. But backstage attitude aside, Blake's beatboxing set is still the highlight of the tour this season.
Phil Stacey was great during the meet and greet -- but you know who was the super-duper-awesome-ness of them all? Chris Richardson! Just like Chris Sligh, he looked for me while I was leaving. I thought that was great. Made me feel more important than I really am. Hahaha. Go Chris Richardson! You've converted me!
Go Sanjaya! Maybe next time I wouldn't be so nervous not to say anything. Thanks for a great night!
