Torch report from Trustlife, Kellym14, Kitkat_grandma at dazeoffire:
Ok, so this is how it went…. I called Kelly14 at about 3:00 and agreed to call her when I I got to the Idaho Center. My daughter and I arrived there at aprox. 4:30 and we walked up to the will call window to ask about the backstage passes… right at that moment Kelly14 call me on my cell phone…we had walked right past her and her Mother and she suspected it was us because we were the only two of about 10 people that were there early and we both had Sanjaya tee shirts on, The lady at the will call window looked on her list for my name but couldn’t find it … she told me to come back in an hour… I must say she was quite rude but I treated her with the utmost respect… I mean really “what would Sanjaya do” LOL So we went over and sat on the grass with Kelly14 and her Mom. They were really very sweet… I love the fact that a fan site can bring together people who would never have met each other otherwise… very cool. I brought a bag of tee shirts, bandanas and caps for Sanjaya and Sis, so I asked Kelly14 and her Mom if they would like one (because they were wearing black tees) they each picked one out and put them on… I will let Kelly14 share for herself how she went about changing shirts LOL. It was sweltering hot out there we tried to stay in the shade as much as possible but I thought I was going to melt. We all went over to the TV Guide booth and asked the Idols a question on video and had or pics taken as if we were in the red carpet with the Idol Chat girls. I went back to the window again and still no luck, although this time the gal was a lot nicer about it. Finally the entry line started forming and I went back to the window for the final time and this lady was by far the nicest. She told me she would make some calls and she did and within 10 mins the passes were there … I was very appreciative to her as the line was just now being allowed to go in. Whew! Out of the heat in to the air conditioned Center… what a relief! Went straight down to our seats and it was all mixed up, the seat numbers were repeating themselves so we had to call the usher over and apparently some one had miss labeled the chairs so they called over some Staff Supervisors and they figured out the problem… luckily I had a big fat permanent marker (which I brought for autographs) so they corrected the labeling on the seat and we all got settled in. I went around and started talking to people who were wearing orange and one of them was not aware that Sanjaya’s tour color was orange they just happened to wear it… then I went up to two others in orange shirts and it was Kitkat-granma and her friend Tammy, we talked and took pics of each other… she drove all the way from Montana….Speaking of that I drove six hours from Reno Nevada! Here are some more pics and More report to follow……
