I had a blast let me tell you. We had a bit of a family emergency, my neighbor and mom's bff had a stroke so my mom cancelled on me last minute understandably. I called my best friend who kinda watched the show and gave everyone nicknames since she didn't always watch the show entirely, however, she did always love Sanjaya lol I told her wear orange, she refused but when I picked her she had on white sunglasses and orange glowstick in hand !!
So we get there, see Kimberly Caldwell (total sweetie) buy some keychains and sit down. I try and catch her up on everyones names, lol When the show starts, we both screamed like crazy. I had no clue she'd be this excited but we had a blast together !! Very much to my surprise, the venue (for just this time) allowed cameras. They said we couldn't record, but I did anyways considering these seats were very much closer than tomorrow's show will be. Anyways, bad thing is we're both very short, like 5 feet tall. In the videos I will post hopefully tomorrow or Tuesday, yeah you could see sometimes people stand right in our way, especially during Sanjaya's set, ugh !! Well the first song comes on and she starts jumping up and down screaming "Look, it's Sanjaya !!!" like crazy. So while I'm filming, she waved those lightsticks like crazy. He seemed very hyper tonight, it was great. I actually completely blanked out on the set list and order so I relied on her to tell me everytime Sanjaya came out. Of course, when he did his solo set, I knew that one. She and I danced, then I tried to film most of it. Couldn't see any of his floor antics, but yeah we loved the dancing and hip shaking. I stupidly missed the jump ! The kid next to me accidently kicked me and I reached down instintively. But his solo was incredible. Houston definately recieved him well. We espacially enjoyed the part where Chris Sligh, Phil, and Sanjaya come out as they say "Criljaya", lmao And I'll say I fell in love with how Sanjaya sang one of my all time favorite songs, "I Want It That Way". Thank God, I recorded that cause I'm treasuring that. The show goes on great my friend had a blast with Sanjaya and admitted she's now a Fanjaya, she fell in love with Phil, and always loved Chris R and Blake though she mixed up their names til tonight. Saw a couple orange shirts but a lot of 5-10 year olds walking with their Sanjaya pics, it was adoreable and great to see. Intermission comes, so we get up and get a soda. While I'm digging through my purse, I guess I dropped the memory card I had filmed the show on (changed it cause I was running out of space) on the floor without noticing. On our way out, I saw a memory card sitting on top of the garbage bin, in it's case. I grab it, wondering if it's mine or not, check out the pictures and it was !!! i had the whole show there plus pics I took at a previous concert. OMG I couldn't believe I dropped it and someone put it out there for me. That was amazing. When we get to our seats, we find two friends I made at an Idol charity event from this February here (with Ace Young, Kim Caldwell, etc) and they are there talking to Mamajaya !! I say hi, introduce my friend quickly, but since it looked like she was starting to get a bit mobbed and seemed to want to go back cause intermission was about to end, we said goodbye and sat down. The 2nd half starts and I was ordered by her to film everything with Sanjaya, lol I also filmed Chris and Blake at her request but all Sanjaya parts. Now I don't really have pictures of him, just film but once I convert them on my pc when I get back home from the trip, I can screencap the videos and get plenty of pics from there. However, tomorrow I will be taking pictures while my father films so tomorrow night I'll probably post videos and pics. At the end when they all bow, we start waving these glowsticks like crazies, lol But he saw us cause he smiled that beautiful smile and winked. Yeah, that made our night. I buy my Sanjaya pic before we leave, take some pictures in our whilte "Bill Vandell" glasses, and go to find my car. That part sucked cause neither one of us during our excitement looked at the garage number and we were kinda lost for a good half hour looking for it. We find it, put on Sanjaya and drive home. Funny, she said that was so Funjaya and is definately a fan now. We had a blast at the show and am quite glad I got to go with a friend at this show. Am honestly, I'm refraining from talking cause since this morning my throat hurt like crazy and I can feel that I'm starting to lose my voice a bit. Didin't scream that much during the show in order to preserve it but I had during his parts, lol Hopefully, I'll still have my voice tomorrow so I can scream some more with my mother, lolI could go more in detail tomorrow on the songs when I re-watch what I filmed, cause I know I'm leaving a few great Sanjaya moments out. Now I'm off to bed since I have to wake up in 4 hours, get all the pets packed up for their babysitting adventure while we finish packing the car for our trip to San Antonio. I will hopefully post up goodies tomorrow along with my report. Good night everyone and hope this story was entertaining. It certainly was a fun night for me.
