Torch report from Mrs.Malakar & fj2554 at dazeoffire:

Finally it's my turn and I'm off to see their whatever-th concert in Hartford, CT. I took all day to get ready for my date with Sanjaya! I gave up on making my own pony-hawk, but out the door I go with orange ribbons, orange nail polish (hands and toes), a home-made orange T-shirt with gold trim with a photo on both the front and back with the words 'Sanjaya is Sensational', orange necklace and bracelet, and more posters than I could carry. Let's just say there's good reason for not including a photo LOL! At first, I was shunned by my own, but after getting waves and smiles from other concert-going Fanjayas, all was good again! Most did not know the Idols had fan colors, but there was no missing my shirt and posters. As we were seated at an outdoor patio having dinner before the concert, a wall of ladies in orange shirts walked by, and then sat at the table near us, giving the restaurant a whole facade of orange ladies!

Luckily I had seen most of the concerts by bits and pieces on the Internet 'cause I was so excited that things seemed to be whizzing by, not to mention all the fans screaming, jumping and blocking my view with excitement. The crowd seemed to enjoy the show and the party atmosphere. Blake's janitor-disguised entrance was a big hit – the crowd loved it. During Sanjaya's solo entrance, one lady looking up at the prompter with Sanjaya's close-up said, “Oh, Sanjaya is beautiful.” Most of the concert went as others reported by the tour torch bearers... Kikki got a standing ovation; Sanjaya got ooohs and ahhs during his solo singing and dance performance; Phil was inspiring with his uniform; Blake, Jordin and Sanjaya got the most cheers. There was a gasp moment though when Sanjaya was competing the sides for the most noise, running from side to side, he tripped and almost fell. At first he was going to try to ignore it, then said, “I'm lame and almost fell on my face, and have no prize to give out for the winners.” He got a laugh from the audience and recovered nicely. During Criljaya, Phil got distracted by someone in the front row, and actually said aloud, “Hey, you can't just talk to us like that while we're up here. I have things I have to say up here.” Wasn't sure what to make of that.

I could see why reviewers report the show as karaoke-ish, with the less than perfect sound system, goofy wardrobe, and drowning musical arrangements. AI's concert didn't compare with more professional concert productions, but it was a whole bunch of good family fun. Best of all, Sanjaya was there!

No mention of Sanjaya's 2007 Teen Idol Reality TV Star Award, nor Jordin's appearance as a presenter – come on Idols, why not a shout out? Aughh!
