Sanjaya Malakar - Birthday Planning
Okay, I'm kinda panicking because you know, I'm just like that... but there are a couple of projects and ideas underway in preparation for Sanjaya's 18th birthday on September 10. Don't worry, I don't think Sanjaya visits this blog, so whatever we discuss here, stays here (I think). Besides, I don't think Sanjaya has time to read blogs -- I think he would rather sleep, or compose music. Anyway, the PLANS!
1. BATHWATER MONDAY -- On September 10, 2007, at 7 PM (or whenever) let us commit to buying as much Bathwater as we can afford on iTunes to bring it up on the iTunes chart. This is actually very ambitious, but the Fanjayas looked stoked in doing this. Bathwater is pretty awesome, I even used it in one of my videos.
2. FANJAYA SCRAPBOOK -- We're giving Sanjaya a scrapbook: pictures, poems, all the good stuff. Details over at dazeoffire. Deadline is September 1 to submit your special something for Sanjaya. Hurry! (to be given on September 11)
3. BIRTHDAY SONG/S -- We're working on this. I hope it happens. To the Fanjayas watching the concert in Washington, DC on September 9, please spread the word that it is Sanjaya's birthday and that the audience will sing 'Happy Birthday'. Sing your lungs out! (Also, a possibility to sing 'Happy Birthday' on the September 11 concert in Greensboro, NC, but I am only working on the September 9 concert as of now.)
4. INDIVIDUAL GIFTS -- If you want someone to "hand-deliver" your gift (you know, that sweater you've been knitting for months or that goodluck bracelet), please contact any of the torch-bearers going on September 9 and 11 on dazeoffire, so you can mail or e-mail your gift ASAP. I'm going on September 8, and I am willing to deliver your gift, but it has to get to me by September 5. Just e-mail me.
5. NINJAYA COMIC -- It was a bit ambitious, but I am giving Sanjaya the working draft that Amy723, Tamelyn521, and GirlyGirl45 worked hours on, plus a sketch of Ninjaya. Hope he likes it. Good job guys!
17! Sanjaya Malakar is seventeen!
