First of all let me thank the Dazeoffire.com (the official Fanjaya site) team" and especially mamamjaya for all of the planning and coordinating that goes into a project of this magnitude. I realize we can’t plan for every stop and start or misstep that happens along the line, but everyone on the team is doing such a great job in keeping the excitement and momentum up.

Part 1 – PreShow

10:00A
Start packing up and getting ready. Taking inventory for the zillionth time. Still deciding if I should wear the jeans or the skort; the loop earrings or the stars; the slippers or the sandals.

Note: after all those inventories I still forgot a couple of things ; I wore the skort and the stars and took both slippers and sandals.

11:30A
Pick up AlakaskanSky. He is not ready. I wait and wait. No problem I built in a lot of time to spare. We get on our way eventually.

1:00P
We arrive at the venue, but I really needed a health break. So I look for a McDonalds, Jack in the Box, or Starbucks. We find a Starbucks a couple of blocks down the road. I take care of business then buy a Tangerine Juice Blend because they didn’t hassle me for just running in.

So drive back to the venue, see a lock of vacant lots, no life. We pull into one that is not barricaded to figure out what to do. AlaskanSky see 3 silver vans pull into the parking lot across the street . That can only mean one thing!! I grab some gear, haul his ass across the street and casually walk on in. We are wearing my handy dandy official looking name tags – and no one hassles us I make the mistake of asking a stupid question and the guy says, “Oh, I guess you’re a fan?” We get shown to the “corral”. Just about two dozen fans hanging around. Not much orange in the small group

1:30P
Idols start showing up: Gina, Haley, Melinda, Sligh, Phil. I give leis to the girls. Get autographs and pictures. AlaskanSky is my photog and doesn’t tell me my hair is a mess. Need to talk to that boy. Melinda gets the candy for the girl bus. Phil gets the one for the boy bus.

Mamajaya heads over to the crowd and I start looking for her lei, a special “Tahitian Ginger” lei. Now I discover the FIRST thing I have forgotten at home! I’m hunched over trying to kick myself and I hear someone call my name, my REAL name. I look up and it’s Mamajaya. AlaskanSky looks impressed. HELL I’m effin impressed.

She tells us Sanjaya had a hard day and is really tired. But she’s gonna make him come out ‘cause IslandMomma is here.

It took about a half and hour, but Sanjaya finally emerged form the bus. He did look tired and I felt bad because I’ll bet he was getting a much needed nap inside. But he came up smiling and gave me a big hug. I asked him how he was doing and he said OK. I think he was just being positive, and didn’t want to complain. But he hung around and worked through the small group of fans. What a good boy.

Well it is after 3:30 and I am really tired. I hope this holds you until the morning, wait it is the morning, see I am tired. Any way I need to get some sleep and I will finish up with "Part 2 – The Show" and "Part 3 – The After Show", after I catch a few zzzzzzs
