Samuel L. Jackson Returning to 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

Nick Fury is returning to his old stomping grounds.

Samuel L. Jackson will be appearing in the season finale of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the role of Nick Fury, a role he reprised from the Marvel films in a brief cameo earlier this season. Apparently, his appearance will be at least somewhat related to the very spoileriffic events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which we won't be getting into here (seriously, see the movie. It's fantastic). In an interview at the opening of his wife's Broadway play, an adaptation of A Raisin in the Sun, Jackson answered the question of whether or not he'd be filming any more cameos for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., to which he responded, "I did! Last week! I just shot the end-of-the-season show."

He kept mum on the details, however. "You're trying to get me fired and killed! I don't talk about Marvel's business. None of us do."

Jackson stated that his appearance is at the behest of Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, to whom the actors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have an unwavering loyalty. "If they ask Kevin Feige and Kevin says, 'We'd like for you to do it,' I do."

He would go on to confirm that the events of The Winter Soldier would be significant to the show's narrative.

"It ties into the TV show," Jackson said. "They wanted to tie that up."

So if you haven't seen Captain America: The Winter Soldier yet, now would be the time.
