Sam & Cat canceled by Nickelodeon amidst drama rumors?
After it has been rumored for months, it seem as if Nickleodeon might have finally pulled the plug on the Ariana Grande and Jennette McCurdy-fronted Sam & Cat.
The show has two episodes left in its inaugural season. It has been a hit for the network, becoming its biggest show.
Why is it being canceled?

UPDATE: It's official now. Nickelodeon says the show is canceled, per TVLine
Rumors first swirled that Nickelodeon was very upset when nearly nude selfies of McCurdy in lingerie were leaked online. The New York Daily News reported that Nick threatened to cancel the show.
Also, a few months reports of in-fighting between Grande and McCurdy surfaced. McCurdy didn't appear with Grande to accept the show's several awards at the Kids Choice Awards, and they stopped following each other on Twitter.
TMZ would later report that a reason McCurdy is upset is because even though McCurdy and Grande are both the show's co-stars and share top billing, Grande is paid a lot more than she is. She later took to Twitter to subtly talk about the situation and bash the network. The report also said McCurdy didn't have a problem with Grande personally, just the situation.
Although Nick hasn't really officially said it was canceled, they released a statement "We are wrapping up what was an unusually long production cycle of ‘Sam & Cat,’ and everyone is understandably tired. We are going into our production hiatus next week which will give everyone on the show a much needed rest.” This is true as even though S&C was ordered with 20 episodes it was doubled to 40 so this was really almost like two seasons.
The show was alright. I guess Ariana can focus solely on music (which is definitely her strong suit). I was a bit weary when this show began as Grande was beginning to prosper in the music biz anyway. What do you think?
Sam & Cat is officially canceled. Only two episodes left to air.
