Sam Callahan - I Won't Give Up - The X Factor UK - Full Video

Sam Callahan sang “I Won't Give Up” on The X Factor UK 2013 Live Show 2.

Well, I went in expecting to hate this and was pleasantly surprised. Granted, I didn't love it or anything, but Sam really does have some nice moments here. This was roughly a thousand times better than his performance last week, and it would have been even better if his nerves hadn't been getting the better of him for most of it (unless the excessive vibrato is just how he sings). I'm beginning to think Sam might be better off sticking to ballads as often as he can. I know Louis might see him as a rocker-esque heartthrob, but I'm not sure he has the vocal chops to pull it off. Then again, keeping him singing ballads on a stool would neutralize one of the biggest assets he has, which is his surprisingly effective stage presence. All in all, I'm not sure what Louis should do with Sam. What do you think?
