Sailing - Women's Laser Radial - London 2012 Olympics - Results
The world's best female sailors, including American Paige Railey battled the wind, waves and each other in the Women's Laser Radial event at the London 2012 Olympics.
It was an exciting and action packed race on a very windy day in London.

The Laser Radial is a type of small, single person sail boat. In the Laser Radial event points are assessed based on time and various penalties and the sailor with the lowest score wins.
China's Xu Lijia held a significant lead for the majority of the race and would ultimately finish in first place, with only 2 points. There appeared to be a lot of wind and the water was very choppy and these ladies really had to battle hard to keep their boats going in the right direction. A very impressive display of skill by all involved.
American Paige Railey finished in sixth place.
