Rumor: Simon Cowell offered $15 Million for 'American Idol' Season 15
This has been on the rumor mill for a while, but the National Enquirer has taken it a step further by reporting that Simon Cowell has been offered $15 million for the final season of American Idol.
It didn't say when the final season of Idol will be, but we are assuming that it will be Season 15, since the judging panel of Season 14 (next year) has already been settled.
The tabloid also writes that FOX has made an offer to Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson to come back. They will even double Paula's salary.
Is this a good idea for Idol to bring the original judges back in one final hurrah?
I'm on the fence. I really hate Randy Jackson now as a judge. He was barely tolerable as a mentor last season.
Anyway, kudos to the Enquirer for hitting two birds with one stone: trying to get Simon back and saying Idol is actually ending. Wishful thinking. Idol will never end. Never.
We have almost two years for a confirmation on this. I'll wait.
