'Rosemary's Baby' Air Dates Announced by NBC
After the success of The Sound of Music Live! and the announcement of Heroes: Reborn, it seems NBC is getting back into event television.
NBC will premiere the four-hour miniseries adaptation of Rosemary’s Baby, the 1967 novel by Ira Levin that became an Oscar-winning Roman Polanski film in 1968. The series, starring Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Patrick J. Adams (Suits), centers on a young married couple who become pregnant shortly after moving into a haunted Paris apartment. The wife "becomes increasingly suspicious her husband and neighbors will have ulterior motives when the baby is born." So yeah, psychological horror at its finest -- perhaps mixed with some good, old-fashioned, straight-up horror for good measure.
So when can we expect the series to premiere?
NBC has confirmed the dates: Sunday, May 11, and Thursday, May 15, from 9:00 PM - 11:00 PM on each night. Yes, it's premiering on Mother's Day, so let it never be said that NBC doesn't have a flair for the dramatic in its scheduling practices.
