Ron Artest is officially Metta World Peace

Ron Artest is no more. Say hello to Metta World Peace. A judge made the name change official today after Ron applied three months ago. I am rooting for World Peace on Dancing with the Stars! Here's the meaning of his name:

From Wikipedia:

Mett? or maitr? is loving-kindness, friendliness, benevolence, amity, friendship, good will, kindness, love, sympathy, close mental union (on same mental wavelength), and active interest in others. It is one of the ten p?ram?s of the Therav?da school of Buddhism, and the first of the four sublime states (Brahmavih?ras). This is love without clinging (up?d?na).
