Rodney Crowell & Emmylou Harris To Record Another Duets Album

Rodney Crowell has revealed that he and Emmylou Harris are working on their second duets album together. They previously collaborated on 2013's Old Yellow Moon, which was received very well by critics and fans alike.

"We just decided to do another duet album together, to have some more fun," Rodney explains. "We had a ball working on Old Yellow Moon. We bring out a lot of good stuff in each other. We just understood that we have to have more time to explore that."

Although Rodney is working on a follow-up book to his 2011 memoir Chinaberry Sidewalks and touring in support of his latest record Tarpaper Sky, it seems he still has time for an artist he has a long history with. After all, he joined Emmylou's Hot Band in 1975, and they are now working on a song that was begun nearly twenty years ago.

"Right now, Emmy and I are collaborating on one song that I started to write 17, 18 years ago," Rodney says. "I'm no good at telling a song what it should be. It will tell me what it wants to be."
