Rock Star: INXS - Monday

Recap: The show opens with a tearfest (minus J.D.) over Deanna's departure. Why do they do this? Why is there always crying? (Haha)

The rockers go to the recording studio to record the new single of INXS. Surprisingly, the band loves Suzie. Jordis meanwhile "changed the melody" which the band didn't like. They loved MiG's tender rendition, and after they asked him to tone it down, they liked Marty's as well. Ty was all "rock" -- hahaha. And then it was J.D. who completely screwed up during the recording because he did not learn the song the day before. The irony. They'll keep him around for controversy's sake, but he won't be the lead singer. His arrogance was pretty palpable during this episode.

During song selection, Suzie and MiG contested Bohemian Rhapsody. I think MiG made a mistake of giving it up -- to distance himself from theatre, he said -- but at least he's doing Live and Let Die. I honestly don't think Suzie will be able to pull off Bohemian, and we might be looking at another We are the Champions moment, where someone fights for a song because it is their intention to completely screw it up. One song to look forward to: Jordis Unga singing Imagine.
