Rock Star: INXS

Someone told me once that watching a reality TV show requires commitment. Well, Rock Star: INXS clearly needs a lot of it. It demands of us three nights a week. I'm not sure if everybody can do that, so thank god for Tivo and other digital video recorders.

That being said, I've noticed that the show can get very heavy. In fact, last Wednesday's elimination show was soooo serious it was not entertaining at all in my opinion. I think the problem is that the show tries to be every single reality show out there. It has elements of Survivor, American Idol and the Bachelor, but never manages to top the originals. We can vote yes, but we don't get to eliminate anyone! The band INXS gets to choose, and of course, they already know who their favorites are. So why vote? It doesn't make sense. So basically, I'm not voting -- I'll just watch what happens. Again, I'll give it one more week to see if I really hate it, but then again, I might get hooked. It's in my cable box, I have no choice now...
