Robert Downey Jr.'s Son Arrested for Drug Possession

It's been a rough 24 hours for Robert Downey Jr. and his family.

Indio Downey, the 20-year-old son of the Iron Man star, was arrested in West Hollywood, California on Sunday afternoon for drug possession. Downey was allegedly in possession of cocaine, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. Downey was arrested following a traffic stop at the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and La Cienega. Downey was a passenger in the car, which quickly came under suspicion from law enforcement agents.

Indio posted bail, which was roughly $10,000, and was released at around 12:30 AM Monday morning.

Of course, these are felony charges, so Downey is going to need a damn good lawyer. But it's sad to see the cycle perpetuated, as Robert Downey Jr. himself famously fought drug addiction early in his career, before becoming clean and sober roughly a decade ago. Here's hoping Indio Downey can follow his father's example and get himself back on the right track.
