Rob Lowe and Ginnifer Goodwin cast in NatGeo's 'Killing Kennedy'

National Geographic's Killing Kennedy, a factual drama based on the novel by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard, has found its duo to play the tragic President and his First Lady.

Parks and Recreation star Rob Lowe and Once Upon a Time princess Ginnifer Goodwin have signed on to play President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jackie Kennedy in NatGeo's follow-up to ratings record-setter Killing Lincoln, also based off of an O'Reilly/Dugard collaboration.

Killing Kennedy will detail the separate trajectories that led JFK and Lee Harvey Oswald to the fateful events in Dallas on November 22, 1963.

Oswald has yet to be cast, but Gossip Girl vet Michelle Trachtenberg will play his Russian wife, Marina.

Production on Killing Kennedy is expected to start next month in Richmond, Va., with a targeted premiere date in late 2013.
